When I was looking for a tutor for my college level Statistics class I needed someone who was both smart enough to answer my questions in many different ways (IQ) and also personable and patient, someone who knew when to slow down and speed up (EQ). I started the course without even a basic understanding of statistics and with Alex’s help ended up with an A+ in the class (97 overall). He has the ability to break down the material in multiple ways and from many angles until a clear picture is painted in my head. Often we would spend a half hour on a problem type going over the same concept. While other tutors I’ve had in the past often showed signs of frustration after a few minutes of me not understanding their explanations, Alex cared more that I got it right before moving on. Just as important, his knowledge base is very deep. He would pull obscure formulas off the top of his head when working on problems.
